Our committees are the heart of our museum. We’d love to have you join one or more!

executive committee

Responsible for enacting board decisions. Supports leadership in everyday Museum Operations. Meets the Thursday before the Board Meeting at 5 PM.

membership/development committee

Increase membership, develop additional support for the museum. Host VIP events. Manage membership benefits.

Meets the 1st Tuesday of each month at 10 AM.

Fundraising/events

Manage fundraising efforts, manage Museum events related to fundraising. Increase revenues through interesting and innovative events and programs.

Put together educational and entertaining programs that focus on our Mission. Create and maintain educational materials for the Museum. Manage archives.

Meets the 4th Tuesday of each month at 1:30 P.M.

Facilities

The committee works directly with the museum director who is the primary lead with facility issues, including interior infrastructure, exterior building maintenance, special events, holiday decorations, and budget.

GIFT SHOP

Provide our Museum Visitors with a wide selection of affordable gifts/souvenirs of our community and Illinois for purchase.
