The St. Charles History Museum will be the site of SCAC’s first of a series of ArtsFest public art installations! Each year for ArtsFest we are hoping to showcase local and national talent through the medium of temporary, cutting edge, public art installations. This year—local artist Rita Grendze will be installing the site-specific work “Synapses 4: community” on the Museum’s façade. Grendze has been developing a body of work from her home studio that explores pathways and systems through the medium of woven, three-dimensional drawings. This next iteration in the “Synapses” series asks: what are the pathways, the systems, that foster a true community?
Reception during ArtsFest Kick-Off Party, September 5 from 5-7 pm. On view September 6-15 at any time!
