Clara Barton - Civil War Battlefield Nurse

Join us as we welcome Clara Barton - Civil War Battlefield Nurse to the St. Charles History Museum. Our presenter for this event is Leslie Goddard. Leslie is an actress and historian who has been portraying famous women in history for more than fifteen years.

In addition to both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in theater, she has a Ph.D. from Northwestern University and currently works full-time as a historical interpreter and public speaker.

On May 14th, she will take us back more than 150 years. It is 1864, and we are gathered at a special event honoring our Union soldiers. Miss Barton has agreed to share some stories from her experiences nursing wounded soldiers.
